Meet the Team

At Furble, we’re a group of passionate pet lovers, veterinary professionals, and industry experts who believe in doing things differently. With decades of experience and a shared mission to make pet care more accessible for Canadians, our team is committed to building a better future for pets, their people, and the professionals who care for them.

Chief Executive Officer

Lisa MacIntyre-Smith

Lisa brings over 20 years of leadership experience in health care and veterinary services. She spent nearly a decade at VetStrategy, where she helped acquire more than 340 clinics and played a key role in growing the business into Canada’s largest veterinary consolidator. With a background that spans Eli Lilly, Medicine Shoppe, and executive leadership, Lisa is driven by a deep respect for the people behind the profession. A proud cat parent to Ben and Jerry (yes, named after the ice cream), Lisa understands how pets bring people together — and she’s passionate about building a platform that does the same.

Chief Strategy Officer

Aaron Eckler

Aaron is a strategic leader with more than a decade in the Canadian veterinary industry. After earning his MBA from Rotman and spending several years in human healthcare, he moved into veterinary distribution and eventually led Vet Alliance, supporting over 400 independent practices. Across more than 700 clinics, Aaron has listened, learned, and helped teams find smarter ways to care for their communities. A firm believer in building from the ground up, Aaron is focused on strategy that stays rooted in real experiences — and always keeps pets and pet parents at the centre.

Chief Relationship Officer

Matthew Friesen

Matt has spent more than 20 years in the veterinary space, with roots at Purina and Elanco, where he worked closely with clinic teams across Canada. He’s been on both sides of the M&A table — supporting growth at VetStrategy and advising independent clinics through myVETgroup — but his passion has always been people. Whether he’s connecting with vet teams, pharmacy partners, or fellow pet parents, Matt brings warmth, transparency, and an uncanny ability to find common ground. He knows the real work happens in conversations — and he’s here to keep them going.

Executive Vice President, Operations

Taylor Moran

Taylor brings a strong background in pharmacy and national operations to Furble. He has led a network of more than 250 retail pharmacies, working closely with pharmacists to support their goals and improve patient care. That experience sparked a passion for building systems and partnerships that help people bring their best to the work they do. At Furble, Taylor is inspired by the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of pets and pet parents. He’s excited to collaborate with industry partners and the Furble team to create a platform that delivers accessible and affordable care across Canada. Taylor looks forward to adopting a dog later this year and believes in approaching others with kindness, finding chances to laugh, and never missing an opportunity to make someone’s day a little brighter.

Technical Lead

Konner Curtis

Konner brings more than six years of software development experience across healthcare and e-commerce to his role at Furble. He provides the technical insight needed to bring Furble’s mission of delivering affordable pet wellness products nationwide into reality. Konner is passionate about building platforms that simplify complex and costly processes, and Furble’s focus on convenient online access to pet foods, wellness products, and prescription medications reflects that vision. His work ensures that pets get the care they need while making life easier for the people who love them. At home, Konner has three cats: Teddy, an 11-year-old tortoiseshell mix who demands attention; Sam, a six-year-old orange tabby known for his chaotic zoomies; and Winnie, a three-month-old tabby kitten who delights in running around with toys in her mouth.
